St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and School is located near many military and government installations.
We honor, respect, and appreciate the men and women who serve our country. As a parish and school, we have a strong commitment to support and to pray for our military and their families.
We welcome our military and government service workers to St. John’s where your spiritual and academic needs are met and exceeded. If you are seeking a home, please let us welcome you into our St. John’s family, and know that we will do all we can to make this your home while you are stationed in our area.
Our mission is to be a place where all are welcome as we respond to the needs of our community and the world through Word, Worship, Stewardship and Service. We understand that military families have unique needs and situations. We do our best to meet those needs.

Their application has been selected by the Military Student Support Process Action Team (MSSPAT) reviewer for the 2022-2023 Purple Star Designation Award. The Virginia Purple Star Designation is awarded to military-friendly schools that have demonstrated a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.
