Shannon and her husband Don joined St. John the Apostle parish in 2019 after moving to Virginia Beach.  After experiencing the welcoming community of the parish and wanting to fully share in their faith, they had their marriage convalidated at SJA in 2020.  They have a son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter who live in Louisiana.  As one can imagine, they visit often. Shannon is originally from Southeast Louisiana where she obtained her BSN and worked for many years as a labor and delivery nurse.  She currently manages the clinical staff for a large OBGYN practice.   She has a strong desire to serve and a deep love for the Catholic faith.  She and Don care for her mother who lives with them.  Her mother is an active member of the Threads of Love and SJA Quilters ministries where she has formed wonderful friendships. Shannon serves as a Eucharistic Minister and is honored to serve on the Parish Pastoral Council.
