Parish Finance Council memberJennifer and her husband Tim have been members of St. Johns since moving to Virginia Beach full time in 2017 from St. Bridget’s parish in Richmond, Virginia. Baptized as a Methodist, she became a Catholic in 1997 through St. Bridgets RCIA . She joined her husband on the St. Johns Finance Committee in 2020 providing a general business background and was dually assigned as the Committees representative on the St. John’s School Board. Jennifer was similarly active at St. Bridgets Catholic School in Richmond, Virgina where their three children attended grade school. Jennifer is currently very involved in their Sandbridge Beach Civic League where she is an Officer and serves on the Board. She is also active in community Bible Study groups and the neighborhood tennis association. Jennifer holds a Chemistry degree and a business minor. She worked for over 37 years at PPD, a Contract Research Organization that provides research services to the pharmaceutical industry in support in clinical drug development. Her role evolved from initial founding to laboratory management, sales, and finance before retirement. Jennifer then began to be more involved in her husband Tim’s construction distribution business with the development of sales tools and reports for in-depth analysis and evaluation of business as well as implementation of new procedures to improve efficiency and profitability. Their three grown children, all working in this family business, are each having children of their own in 2024.
