Parish Pastoral Council memberJen is a member of St. John the Apostle Parish Pastoral Council supporting the Liturgy, Prayer and Worship ministries. She and her husband Joe moved to Virginia Beach from Chicago and became members of St. John the Apostle church in 2008. Their 2 children Patrick and Kimberly were confirmed here at St. Johns, and Patrick still lives in Virginia Beach and is a member of the parish. Kimberly and her husband are in the process of moving back and are expecting their first child in early January. Jen was raised in Ann Arbor Michigan and received her BS in Education from Indiana University Bloomington in 1991. She started her teaching career in San Diego CA, and then took some time off while her children were young. Once they were in Elementary school she began teaching again in Chicago, and then finally finished her teaching career here in Virginia Beach. Jen became catholic in 2002 after going through RCIA. She is involved in many ministries including being a CRHP mentor, RE and the Welcome desk.Outside of her parish duties Jen enjoys going to the beach, travelling, reading and spending time with her family.Jen is a regular at the 11:00 mass but does go to other masses when able.
