St. John the Apostle Catholic School and Church is located near many military and government installations.
We honor, respect, and appreciate the men and women who serve our country. As a school and parish, we have a strong commitment to support and to pray for our military and their families.
We welcome our military and government service workers to St. John’s where your spiritual and academic needs are met and exceeded. If you are seeking a home, please let us welcome you into our St. John’s family, and know that we will do all we can to make this your home while you are stationed in our area.
Our mission is to meet the needs of all of our parents and students in order to bring them into Communion with Christ and His Church. We understand that military families have unique needs and situations. We do our best to meet those needs.
We would be happy to answer any questions you might have and assist with the admissions process.
Thank you for your service to God and to our country.
May God bless you always.
The Military Connected Children's Club recognizes the need to identify and unite students with military connections. Our goal is to provide a conduit between SJA military-connected students through shared experiences and awareness while supporting our heroes and their families through related community services.
The group provides open discussions about the realities and frustrations shared by middle school military students as they face the deployments of their loved ones as they await their return. It offers mutual support for each other as well as being “Deployment Buddies” for the younger students in the elementary grades.
The Military Connected Children's Club sponsors several service oriented events to assist military families including holiday letters to deployed service members, a cold weather used clothing drive, a rally in honor of our own Vietnam Veteran, In addition, the club has planned “5K in 5K” competition in which students will attempt to collect 5,000 coins in 5,000 classroom minutes, to benefit a local Veteran Organization. Other events commemorating Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day are also celebrated.
