Young Adult Ministry (YAM) at St. John the Apostle invites all young adults college aged through their thirties to join one another in fellowship, friendship, and service.
We invite young adults to go to Eucharistic adoration from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m., and then meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Activity Room A for fellowship, the faith witness of one of our young adults, prayer, and the opportunity for dinner and drinks after.
All high performing organizations periodically take time to ask themselves “how are we doing.” Saint John the Apostle Parish did just that. At the request of our bishop and the direction of our pastor, the parish completed a self-assessment using the SWOT method. “SWOT stands for: Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat. A SWOT analysis guides you to identify your organization’s strengths and weaknesses (S-W), as well as broader opportunities and threats (O-T). Developing a fuller awareness of the situation helps with both strategic planning and decision-making. The SWOT method was originally developed for business and industry”,1 but it is equally applicable to other organizations.
Congratulations to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church! We have been voted as one of the “Top 3 churches in Virginia Beach, VA” according to ThreeBestRated.com.
